Abstract

The purpose of this study was to provide a description of the pattern of empowerment of indigenous people in development in the areas of indigenous people within District Eligobel, Merauke Regency. This research method used is qualitative descriptive analysis. The result of the study is the empowerment of indigenous people cannot be separated from the model of community empowerment in general with a focus on activities on community participation which examines the understanding of the potential of indigenous peoples, the empowerment of indigenous people needs to get assistance in the form of financial assistance, assistance with facilities and assistance in the form of bureaucracy in the form of government regulations and laws.
